Ingrid Bayer is a mum, wife and business owner with a career spanning over 30 years in legal secretarial and business administration. Operating from her home office on the beautiful Mid-North Coast of NSW, in 2008, Ingrid started operating as a Virtual Assistant.
Within two years, she had grown her business to include managing and overseeing a team of VAs, and has gone on to forge a very successful VA business.
In 2017, Ingrid established VA Institute of Australia – www.vainstitute.com.au – drawing on all that she has learned in life and her VA business so far (which she still operates) to provide practical assistance and mentoring to other Australians who want to set up and run their own successful Virtual Assistant businesses.
In 2019, Ingrid established Find a VA - www.findava.com.au - as an additional resource from which to source leads for the growing number of graduates that have undertaken the VA Institute VA Startup or VA Reboot Programs.
Ingrid is active on the speaking circuit, has written two books about setting up a successful VA business, and continues to champion the growth and development of our Australian VA Industry founded on the principles of Excellence, Authenticity and Sustainability.

Melissa comes to VA Institute with a strong background in education (primary, tertiary and adult education), sales, coaching and training. Melissa began her foray into the freelancing and VA world in 2012 managing social media for her family’s small business.
In late 2018, Melissa began setting up to formalize her own VA business, completing the VA Institute’s one-on-one online course. Melissa’s business, Blink by Miss Melly, has grown from strength to strength.
Over the course of 2019, Melissa embraced social media management for VA Institute, and now also takes on the National Operations Manager role.
With Melissa’s background in coaching and training, together with her passion for excellence in the VA Industry, Melissa’s role is now focused on providing online and face-to-face training, and managing operations for VA Institute.
National Technical Operations Manager
Angela is located in the beautiful seaside town on Penguin down in Tasmania. She has her hands full with a household of 3 boys and her cheeky husband, but wouldn't have it any other way!
Trained in the technology space and working in the Technology Industry for over 15 years, Angela enjoys all thing technical. You will find her deep within streamlining business practices, setting up new software platforms & CRMs or creating website.
Whilst sharing her knowledge of all things IT, Angela provides the VA Institute guidance around current platforms and implements new system. Angela handles our team of creators in launching our graduates with their website.
Executive Assistant and VA Startup Trainer
Louise started her VA journey in 2018 after leaving the Sydney rat race for her home town of Bunbury in WA. Her background is working with executives in big corporate businesses, highly creative entrepreneurs and your neighbourhood small business owner.
Having trained as a traditional secretary over 15 years ago, she will tell you that administration was her calling from the moment she left high school and she’s never looked back. Her can-do attitude and high energy for administration, is balanced with a passion for excellence and authenticity.
Louise joins the team as our Executive Assistant and VA Startup Trainer, bringing together her love of supporting people and giving back to the VA Industry.
Jodie started her VA journey over 15 years ago while hoping to be able to work from home and raise my family. Little did she know that she was going to be part of the amazing VA industry.
Jodie loves the lifestyle that being a VA allows her to live. For those who have the pleasure of knowing Jodie, they are all aware of her obsession with all things Disney and that she loves working all day long listening to Disney themed music and as she works the VA lifestyles she does not have to turn it down or turn it off!
Jodie thrives from being the behind the scenes girl for the VA Institute. She is the Tinkerbell of the group, spreading her magic where required which includes invoicing and finance, Find A VA support and everything in between.
Virtual Assistant Onboarding Specialist
Toni has worked across a number of different industries over the last 20 years from the beauty industry to civil construction. Toni has a strong background in sales and marketing.
Toni chose to become a VA after running her own publishing business and looking for a new challenge. She was helping clients out as a VA but wasn't really set up to be the best she could be for herself or her clients.
Being a VA is such a fantastic job and Toni loves being able to provide solutions to all her clients' needs as well as being able to work around her family life.
Toni is our VA Startup Mentor who speaks with startup VA's to help them move towards starting their own business as well as onboarding all new enrollments to the VA Startup Program.

Tenielle is our newest team member and lives in the beautiful Illawarra area of NSW together with her partner, Derek and their puppy dog.
Tenielle complements the VA Institute team with her extensive background in executive business support, project management, report preparation, contract reviews, tender coordination, workplace training, document control, WHS, and quality management. She is an exceptional networker, and a valuable resource to all who have the pleasure of working with her.
As a busy VA, Tenielle's goal is to create virtual business solutions for today’s workplaces which enable her clients to focus on growing their business.
Joining our team as a VA Startup Trainer and Mentor, Tenielle melds those skills together to deliver training that is based on real life experience to deliver an outstanding service to VA Institute students and graduates.
