With Christmas over and the New Year just beginning, I find myself going over the year that was… and what a wonderful and busy year it’s been! Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that my life would be so deeply fulfilling as it has been over these past 12 months.
As I cast my mind back, I am in awe of where this long and winding road has brought me so far, and where it is taking me in 2020 and beyond.
This year, after 3 years of building the VA Institute - in conjunction with running my own VA business of 11 years - I finally stepped into the VA Institute full time… a long-held dream, but one which finally came to fruition. In the past 12 months, I have assembled a team around me with whom it’s been an absolute privilege and pleasure to work. They are some of the most amazingly talented individuals I have ever met… all experts in their field… and they make my heart smile every single day! VA Institute is becoming more than I ever imagined because of them, and I am in constant awe of what they do to support both myself, and the VA Startups that we work with each and every day to help their dreams become a reality.
Many of you who know me will also recognise that I am fiercely passionate about creating an industry that has longevity, sustainability and excellence at its very core. Thanks to this wonderful team that I have around me now – all of whom share my passion - the vision I have for our industry has been given wings, and I am so excited for the future – our industry’s future.
The industry is way bigger than me and VA Institute, but if – through our VA Startup Program and the ongoing mentoring we provide - we can support as many individuals as possible to start their VA business off the right way, with clarity around what they can comfortably offer their clients, combined with a focus on delivering service excellence, exceeding client expectation, and being the very best they can be… then I know we are on the right track.
We are seeing rapid change in the way in which people do business which totally influences the way we work, and by virtue of this, I believe that the VA Industry is on the cusp of something truly extraordinary… and as a result, there’s never been a better time than right now to secure your future by building something that offers the opportunity to provide a source of security and financial independence in the economic environment we find ourselves in, and which also happens to be one of the lowest risk businesses I’ve ever seen.
2020 promises so much, and I have that nervous / anxious feeling in my stomach just thinking about it as I write. From our VA Startup program developments to the Australian VA Summits to Find a VA, there has never been quite so much to look forward to!
